GSOM SPbU - Russia's best business school & one of the two Eastern European leaders according to the EDUNIVERSAL 2011 Ranking

(Free-Press-Release.com) October 20, 2011 -- EDUNIVERSAL Business Education Evaluation System 2011 Ranking results were announced at the 4rd World Convention in Shanghai on 13 - 15 October, 2011.

For the 4th year in a row St. Petersburg University Graduate School of Management is named the best business school in Russia. At 2011, GSOM SPbU has got 333 Deans’ votes and became again #2 among the best three business schools in Eastern Europe together with the University of Economics, Prague (1st place, 337 votes).

Moreover, at the 4th Eduniversal World Convention GSOM SPbU for the first time in Russia has gained 5 PALMES AWARD “With major international influence”.

This award means the highest international recognition of GSOM SPbU.


The EDUNIVERSAL Palms are granted on the basis of the research work carried out by the International Scientific Committee and the assessments made by peers (Deans’ vote).
The International Scientific Committee composed of independent experts and one member of the Academic Council of the UN System (ACUNS) compiles the list of internalization criteria:
• The international influence and reputation of the School;
• The quality of the programs;

• The quality of the teachers;
• The accreditations and labels obtained by the Schools;
• The State recognition, the results in the main rankings;
• Membership in different international associations etc.

Additionally, each Dean of the officially selected schools and universities has the power to vote to recommend other schools. 1000 Deans are answering the question: Which School would you recommend for the best business education in each region?

The Deans’ Vote, the evaluation by the peers, is estimated with a recommendation rate that students can use to get information about the schools and compare them while choosing the appropriate one.
