GSS America signs Multi-Year Managed IT Services deal with Bangladesh Government

(Free-Press-Release.com) April 20, 2010 -- GSS America, a publicly traded company in India with global presence and specializing in providing Managed IT Services today has been awarded a $5 Million (approx), contract to provide an end to end E Governance & E Procurement Solution to the Government of Bangladesh under the auspices of the Central Procurement Technical Unit of Bangladesh.

Ministry of Planning, Government of Bangladesh has envisioned a single, unitary, end-to-end e-Procurement solution in the country as an important component of the Public Procurement Reform Project (PPRP2). The initiative is to ensure that all the Public Procurement life cycle processes and information in the country will be managed through this comprehensive integrated platform and procurement portal, known as 'Bangladesh e-GP '.
The Scope of work involves Design of the Data Centre and Web based Solution, Implementation, Training and Operations Management. This turnkey solution will serve as a primary interface for the Government and the National / International Suppliers. Subsequent to deployment GSS America will provide a 3 year Managed IT Support Services.
