You’ve heard of retailing and etailing? Now there is gtailing!
As retailers feel the pinch, with sales space on the high street becoming ever more expensive as customer spends decrease, Richard Rutherford and Steve Rolls have launched their latest project, ‘Greenfield Outlet Village’, a 500 square metre mobile shopping mall designed to reverse the retail model by taking the retailer to the consumer!
Conventional advertising is all about driving customers to the retailer, whereas they, are going to take the retailers to the customers. Starting by utilising the largest and best county shows across the UK. These events attract up to 200,000 visitors spending upwards of £4million over a four-day period. http://www.gtailing.com/facts--figures.php
Green Field Retailing or gtailing, as it is now know, is nothing new apparently. It is a marketing method much favoured by smaller organisations to build their businesses cost effectively and often operated out of small tents or larger shared marquees at the venue. Few larger organisations have taken advantage of these events as the accommodation on offer has not been compatible with their brands – until now!
Mirroring the retail / on-line concept Green Field Retailing take your business to the customer by placing your brand and retail experience in the midst of the County Show audience. http://www.gtailing.com/how-does-it-work.php
The pavilions and interior fit-outs will create a retail experience close to that of permanent stores, including branding and logistics making Greenfield Outlet Village a unique shopping mall experience, on the move!
According to Richard Rutherford, Green Field Retailing CEO, “This is a huge opportunity for retailers to; meet their customers, move merchandise, raise brand awareness, sample new concepts or products, communicate a message and capture data in a very efficient way and often costing less than the price of a conventional ‘off the page’ advertisement.”
“In a tough retailing environment this is a smart way to capitalise on an untapped audience, very cost effectively”.
