The Music & Adventure festival aimed to promote peace in the valley, encourages responsible tourism amongst the domestic and international tourists. Gulmarg Winter Festival 2012 also aims to bring people closer to nature with Zero Residual Damage & Zero Carbon Footprints Event and in saving environment by using eco- friendly products.

The festival gives a platform to budding talent from all across India to showcase their skills in Music & Adventure. Gulmarg Winter festival, 2012 showcases some of the best, new & emerging talent India has to offer in music, performing arts, films and alternative sport athletes. The objective is to promote concert tours in India and encourage responsible tourism amongst the increasing domestic travelers. The festival is completely plastic free.

Music,Snow, Adventure, Skiing & Snowboarding, Movies,Parties & Fun are the highlights of the festival. For the first time, the people will witness performances by artists Raghu Dixit, Rishi Inc., Half Step Down, Traveling Blues, Hashback Hashish and many more in the beautiful locales of J & K. With the involvement of local people displaying their handicrafts skill will truly be a cultural exchange between people from accross the country.

Festival using a minimum carbon footprint, local resources and sustainable production methods. Lights at the festival will be powered by renewable sources of energy, using minimum power (bio fuel). All extra precaution to ensure that no signs of any waste residual activity remain at the end of the festival.
