Guru Grow Lights has Decided to Discontinue their Instigator Line of LED Grow Lights

(Free-Press-Release.com) November 23, 2011 -- The agricultural market has traditionally been dominated by high pressure sodium (HPS) grow lights. They have been in use for the past 50 years and are proven to work well. The only problem with HPS grow lights is their energy consumption and heat output. They require specific cooling systems in order to cool them down. LED grow lights attempt to improve on HPS grow lights. They use much less electricity (around one third) and produce very little heat. So little in fact that they do not require special cooling systems to operate.

Since the LED grow light market is relatively new there is very little revenue in it. As well, sometimes customers can be overwhelmed by choice. For those reasons Guru Grow Lights has decided to discontinue its line of Instigator lighting. The Instigator line of lighting was designed for the early stages of plant growth. It was meant to be used only for vegetative growth but during our testing we found it made very little difference. In addition, customers kept on calling us to try and figure out the difference between the two. Even more startling, many customers thought they needed to buy two lights to just do a regular grow using LED lighting. Now that the instigator line of Guru Grow Lights is discontinued we believe customers will be able to more clearly differentiate between us and the competition.
In the future we may decided to bring it back but for now it is gone unless for special orders. If you wish to grow with LED go with the Guru Finisher line of lighting.
