This certification is a direct reflection of Dr. Nguyen’s skill, knowledge and experience in providing quality patient care, and his continued commitment to the advancement in varicose vein and venous disorders diagnosis and treatment.

Dr. Nguyen becomes an elite group of healthcare professionals to earn this certification. According to the American Board of Phlebology, less than 1% of all Phlebology professionals in the U. S. have earned this certification. There is currently only 412 board certified phlebologist nationwide.

To become an ABPh diplomat, an applicant must complete the requisite training or experience qualifications, meet the continued medical education requisites, and pass a stringent certification examination offered by the American Board of Phlebology. Certification periods are ten years and maintenance is dependent on the ability of the diplomat to display competency in four areas of assessment, evidence of professional standing, evidence of commitment to life-long learning and periodic assessment, evidence of cognitive expertise and evaluation of performance in practice.
