Hailsham In Bloom Sponsorship And Donations 2010

(Free-Press-Release.com) June 10, 2010 -- .....activities held to support World Environment Day on 5th June. The company has also agreed to sponsor Hailsham In Bloom’s Best Kept Front Garden competition prize of £50.

The money raised will go towards the funding required for the construction of a town twinning-themed floral display in Vicarage Field, a project which is expected to commence in the early autumn of this year.

A number of businesses in Hailsham have contributed towards Hailsham In Bloom’s efforts during the past year, including Hart Reade Solicitors, who sponsored thirty fruit trees for the recently completed Dennis King Memorial Orchard and Sensory Garden construction project, as part of their 100th anniversary celebrations.

Other businesses who have contributed to the cause, financially or in terms of manpower, include D. Martin Rustic Furniture, Handyman Harris, Macey’s Industrial Fixings, Metaltech, KPS Composting and DPT Welding.

Cllr Jeff Bentley-Astor, chairman of the Town Council’s Hailsham In Bloom Sub-Committee said, “Local businesses throughout Hailsham have become increasingly aware of horticultural issues throughout the past nine months and, by supporting Hailsham In Bloom, have played an active part in improving the aesthetic and environmental quality of the town.”

Adds Cllr Bentley-Astor, “Further good news has been the pledge by local businesses to provide additional support in future Hailsham in Bloom projects by way of sponsorship, donations, manpower and the provision of equipment.”

“I’d like to take this opportunity to say a big "Thank You" to all these forward thinking companies who understand the importance and benefit of involvement and support in the local community.”

Emma Collins, Quality Assurance Manager at E&S Heating and Ventilation Ltd commented, “It is wonderful to be able to be part of Hailsham In Bloom and support them with their upcoming projects. At E&S, we are working towards our own environmental accreditation for which promoting staff environmental awareness is critical.”

She added, “We have done a lot of work looking at our surroundings and the local area. Hailsham In Bloom is such an important community project and what it is doing for the local environment is remarkable. ”
