The Indian restaurant, located at 48 High Street, opened its doors to the public in March 1990, and to mark its 20th anniversary, they will be holding a celebratory grand prize raffle with 50p per entry going to the Oxfam charity. Having raised vital funds for this particular charity over the years, it is hoped that more than £1,000 will be raised for good causes on the night.
The winner of 1st prize in the raffle will receive a 32 inch LCD HD ready television. 2nd prize winners will get a champagne dinner for two, and £20 meal vouchers will be presented to 3rd prize winners. A special celebratory buffet is available to customers on Wednesday 17th and Thursday 18th for £19.95, which includes a complimentary glass of champagne.
The Mayor of Hailsham will draw the winning raffle tickets at 10pm.
Restaurant owner Abdul Salik, one of Hailsham’s most established restaurateurs, said “Rajdutt’s cooking demonstrates simply prepared, fresh, authentic Indian cuisine of the highest quality. We attribute our success to our diners who have continually supported us over the past twenty years and would like to thank them for their loyal support.”
Cllr Haffenden said “Rajdutt Tandoori has been serving up high quality cuisine in Hailsham since 1990 and has a long-held reputation as a stylish family dining establishment. I am delighted to be able to join customers in the celebrations on the 18th March and I wish Abdul and his team years of success and future growth in Hailsham.”
Entry to the prize draw is free, but a donation of 50p per entry to the Oxfam charity box is recommended. To book your table, call Rajdutt Tandoori on 01323 842847.
