Oy Ahoy, a newly started App design team refuses to release a Halloween app like most of their competitors. We thought there are already too many, we are all about celebrating cultural diversity with kids, so we thought it would be awesome to make the first Dia del Muertos app. Kids in Latin America loves this tradition, and we thought kids in the rest of the world should too. Oy Mexico is the first in a series, where each app is dedicated to celebrate a specific country and its culture.

The Problem
We have noticed a sort of cultural uniformity that has hit kids media, such as games, tv shows, and apps in particular. The current 95 different Alice in Wonderland apps are a testimony of the anglocentric dominance in kids entertainment category. We think technology is helping this uniformation and is why modern kids walk in each others cultural footsteps.
What we do


The Solution
We think technology can become part of the solution and celebrate diversity
We will inspire a digital cultural revolution initiated by kids

We will litterarily rebuild our world of cultures and traditions and squeeze it into the iPad format.
We will let toddlers and kids up to 7 years explore the world with their finger tips.
We will make apps each representing unique countries and their cultures.
