(Seattle, WA) Seattle’s Hamlin Robinson School, dedicated to meeting the educational, social and emotional needs specific to students with dyslexia and related language difficulties, held their annual auction gala at the Washington Athletic Club on Saturday night, March 5, 2011.

It was a festive evening, with this year’s theme “Under the Big Top!” The elegant evening began with complimentary wine and hors d'oeuvres, a series of silent auctions and a Golden Ticket raffle, with the winner picking any item in the live auction!

Following an delicious dinner of pepper-crusted sirloin steak, Charity Auction World’s April Brown took to the stage for a fun-filled and wonderfully successful ‘live’ auction, featuring incredibly unique class art projects designed under the creative eye of art teacher Allison Echanove, which sold for thousands of dollars. There was also an amazing six night vacation package to Scottsdale, Arizona, a weekend at Whistler, and special seating in Hollywood for the taping of Dancing With the Stars!

“It was a magical night, filled with friends, family and an amazing group of supporters and volunteers who contributed to the success of this year’s event,” said auction project manger Susan Ford. “And the real winners were the students!”

Rob Harrahill, Hamlin Robinson’s Director of Advancement, praised the school’s supporters. “I am indebted to our many sponsors and supporters who continue to strengthen and sustain our excellent programs. When it comes to helping our students, everyone wins!”
