It measures CATV TILT, C/N, and trunk cable voltage effectively and accurately. The high performance analyzer features auto-off time setup, level unit setup, frequency setup, TILT channel setup, channel plan selection, channel edition and channel sorting. It belongs to GAO’s CATV Meter & Instrument family of products.

This portable signal level analyzer, model 8385, tests CATV signal levels in both channel and frequency modes. In 'SCAN' mode, the analyzer scans all channels and records signal levels in internal memory for later analysis. In "SPECTRUM" mode, the analyzer displays the spectrums and tests frequency range. It functions over a wide frequency range of 5 MHz to 870 MHz and offers a level range of 30 dBμV to 120 dBμV at a high accuracy of ±1.5 dBuV (indoor temperature) or ± 2.5 dBuV (-10°C to 40°C). The analyzer is also able to scan up to 125 channels at a speed of 30 ch/m within its operating range. It stores twenty-four groups of scanned data (up to 100 channels per group) and offers interchangeable BNC or F connectors. Included software is compatible with Win9x, WinNT, and Windows XP for easy system setup. It is powered by AC supply or a 7.2 V rechargeable battery for more than 3.5 hours continuous operation. Its simple operation and light weight design makes it ideal for field use.
