For Haney, who spent six years working with the 14-time major winner between 2004 and 2010, and co-writer Jaime Diaz, the book's main focus is purely on golf areas.
Speaking to golf-writer Thomas Bonk, Diaz said: "I didn't feel frustrated at all with the subject Callaway X-24 Hot Ironsnot going places it could have gone. It concerns itself with golf areas. Look, Hank was a very influential guy with Tiger in person. It's a golf book primarily and you can't separate golfer from golf personality."
Nor, says Diaz, is the book about Haney trying to repair or enhance his reputation with Woods after the two split.
"Hank is a very sensitive guy who was always very tuned to the way he was portrayed as Tiger's coach. I think he wanted to have his own voice as what he knows to be the truth.Callaway X-24 Hot Irons
