Hanover Park Senior Robert Wong Receives Scholarship

(Free-Press-Release.com) June 9, 2010 -- The Hanover Area Chamber of Commerce has awarded its 2010 scholarship to Hanover Park High School senior Robert Wong of East Hanover.

As an athlete Robert has played Lacrosse and Soccer for four years, serving as Captain this year on the Soccer Team. He has been a member of the Future Business Leaders of America club for three years and the Key Club for all four years at Hanover Park. Robert has been a member of the newspaper staff for two years, Peer Counseling for two years, and a member of the Academic Team for three years as well. On top of all that, he’s been an intern at Pershing, a multi-billion dollar financial company in Florham Park

As February’s Student of the Month at Hanover Park, he was described as reliable, respectful and responsible, incredibly talented and accomplished but humble at all times. Robert was cited as a careful listener who respects the opinions of others, treating everyone around him with commendable politeness; someone who is thoughtful and able to clearly articulate his opinions in a diplomatic manner.

Robert is heading off to Cornell University in the fall and plans to major in Finance. The Hanover Area Chamber of Commerce is very pleased to have been able to recognize such an outstanding young man with a $1,000 college scholarship.
