“Its definitely unusual, all the pages seem to have had a dampener applied to them, in my experience Google does this to push the pages way back in its result pages so the public cant really get to them” - Paul Gregory SEO Consultant.
Recently TheWrd.com published an article titled ‘Comfortably Numb’ which hit out at the British public and the powers that be. (For legal purposes we cannot list the articles content here but it can be read live on http://thewrd.com/?p=942). The article states that British Public are suffering from Stockholm Syndrome and are allowing themselves to abused in the same way a kidnappers victim accepts their captors.
Some Truth [br]
However after reading the article you have to question whether there is some truth in what it says. Do we as individuals actually do this? Do we feel the things the ‘Comfortably Numb’ article says we do? Are our children being affected? We cant say for definite if the sites pages have been penalized because of this article however after consulting with a leading SEO consultant the evidence does seem to point to some unusual practices.

Although its content is hard hitting and I understand how it may upset some people I do not feel it in any way warrants any type of negative action by a search engine or by any legal bodies. We will stand firm in our decision to publish this article and will continue to list it unless it becomes illegal to do so…” Martin James Web Content Manager TheWrd.com
When searching (using Google: Google First Amendment Issue) we found that there are plenty of other people who have had similar experiences and after researching this subject for some time the question might not be about the articles content at all but one of ‘does freedom of speech really exist within the search engines that be…”
