Headroom - LIVE @ The Whiskey - Hollywood, CA

(Free-Press-Release.com) March 11, 2010 -- On Thursday April 29, 2010 – swanky sophisto-rock artist “HEADROOM” - Phoenix, AZ will be lighting up the stage at Hollywood’s Whiskey A-Go-Go. The Los Angeles Music Awards has been eyeing the band for quite some time now. Headroom has received numerous awards from the Los Angeles and Phoenix Music Awards in the past two years including but not limited to; National Band of the Year - 2008, Best Male Singer Songwriter of the Year – 2008, and Alternative Rock Band of the Year – 2009!

It seems these guys have been acquiring award after award in these awards shows. Bands from around the WORLD are invited to submit their work to the production office of the LAMAs and PMAs alike. A handful of bands are selected out of thousands of submissions each year to be award nominees. Three nominees for each category are chosen and invited to perform at one or more showcases where a voting academy casts their ballot for the best artist in each respective category.

Headroom is currently in the studio recording their debut CD/DVD due out this summer! As of now the band has been marketing with only a four song demo CD self-produced in 2007. Needless to say everyone is anxious to hear the new work almost finished. It seems certain that several rounds of awards most likely will be awarded to the band again for their upcoming release. “We just hope we get the CD cut in time to submit to the awards shows for 2010. Even though we have done VERY well with our demo material we can’t expect to keep moving forward without releasing some new work soon.” – Gavin Washburn/ drummer

2010 just so happens to mark the Los Angeles Music Awards 20th Anniversary and the main event is being held at Paramount Studios in Hollywood, CA on November 18, 2010. Headroom is optimistic they will get to perform at the main event so they are chartering a 40 foot bus to bring out loyal fans to enjoy the red carpet event in November. “We are always thinking about what we can do to change things up a little bit for the fans. We know that we can’t take everybody with us on this trip but it is something out of the ordinary that we think everyone will really enjoy” – Dan Buitron/ guitar

In the meantime Headroom is staying focused on writing, recording, and polishing things up for a premier event in Phoenix, AZ on May 1st - “Schools Out For Summer”.
