Healthcare Internet Innovators Sought

(Free-Press-Release.com) February 7, 2012 -- February 8, 2012 – ATLANTA - Preserving history and honoring innovation, the Healthcare Internet Hall of Fame opened nominations for healthcare industry Internet innovators to be considered for induction into the Hall of Fame’s Class of 2012. Nominations for honorees are open February 1 – June 1, 2012; applications for the board of judges are open until March 2, 2012. Honorees of the Class of 2012 will be recognized during an induction ceremony to be held at the 16th Annual Greystone.Net Healthcare Internet Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada November 12 – 14, 2012.

The Healthcare Internet Hall of Fame is an independent organization whose annual inductees will be selected by an independent board of judges. The organization’s purpose, while honoring innovation, is to ensure that the history of the industry is preserved for future generations new to the healthcare industry.

Candidates for the Hall of Fame are evaluated on the quantity and significance of contributions to the healthcare Internet field. Judges will look at a candidate’s leadership in the healthcare industry, demonstrated willingness to share their expertise with others in the industry, service to the industry and as a role model or mentor to others in the healthcare Internet industry, ability or influence to effect change in the industry and commitment to the healthcare Internet field.

The Board of Judges is an independent panel consisting of experienced industry professionals from provider and vendor organizations. The role of the Healthcare Internet Hall of Fame Board of Judges is to thoroughly and fairly evaluate each nominated candidate.

“So much has happened, is happening and will continue to happen in the hospital Web industry. It is important that we preserve where the industry has been, not only as a reminder but as an inspiration for future endeavors,” says Farrah Hunt, Healthcare Internet Hall of Fame coordinator and Healthcare Consultant at Greystone.Net.

For their significant contributions and lasting leadership, the inaugural class of honorees was inducted into the Hall of Fame on November 8, 2011 and included:
