Helene Mukhtar’s mixed media paintings to be showcased at the AV Fashion Week

Helene Mukhtar’s latest mixed media paintings will be featured during the cocktail hours followed at 9:00PM by a runway fashion show and music at 10:00PM orchestrated by some of NYC’s top DJs.

Helene Mukhtar is a New York artist with international roots. Born in France, she now lives in Brooklyn and travels and works extensively in Germany, Spain, the UK and France, as well as the Indian subcontinent.

In her work, the artist uses paper collage, acrylic paint and magic markers to create compelling, sometimes humorous, complex images, enriched with bright, muscular colors. In recent years, graffiti has become a major source of her inspiration.

Helene Mukhtar received her MFA from Florida State University. Her work has been exhibited throughout the United States and France. Recent solo exhibitions include the Ion Studio in Soho, NYC, Galerie ArtSud, Toulouse, France and the 440 Gallery, Brooklyn. She has also participated in numerous group shows. Her work is included in private collections in Florida, France and New York.
