Helios Spine Cable™ Obtains Agency Certification

ETL recently completed the qualification process to UL Standard 9703 and UL 817 making the Helios Spine Cable™ one of the first solar related assemblies of this type to carry these agency certifications. As part of the ETL certification, the product was evaluated for both physical and electrical performance parameters such as temperature cycling, water spray, wet insulation resistance, temperature humidity, leakage current, crush resistance, current overload, and corrosion resistance.

Designed as a ‘plug and play’ solution for solar installations, this molded cable assembly product is pre-configured for the installation and comes fully connectorized and electrically tested. By eliminating the need for field configuration, wire management, wire preparation, contacts, and junction boxes, the Helios Spine Cable™ offers a significant opportunity for cost reduction in the areas of materials and labor as well as improving installation time.
