http://www.freehomeownershiphelp.org The HELP Program, a Southern California Non-Profit Corporation, recognized a group of local real estate and mortgage professionals with a "2010 HELP Excellence Award" earlier this month at a program mixer event in Temecula, CA. The group of winners were chosen from the Program's list of Certified Specialists and was designed to give extra praise to those professionals who had volunteered their time at local community outreach events, foreclosure prevention seminars, or those who have partnered with the HELP Program to hold free public classes on homeowner or home buyer education.
"This award was created by our Program to highlight those Certified Specialists who have truly taken our program's message to heart and have gone above and beyond what our code of conduct requires." states Christine Chappell, Program Manager for the non-profit. "We are very thankful for the support of these specialist, and everyone else who has become certified with our Program or has helped us promote the message of consumer protection through education."
Many winners of the award voiced their appreciation of the recognition; all surprised and unaware that the HELP Program was gearing up to make the announcement. "I had no idea that my efforts would lead to this award," said Temecula Valley Real Estate Broker Kristen Boano, " but I am proud to be affiliated with this great non-profit and to have been recognized in this manner. It is important to ensure our community's homeowners and home buyers are properly educated about not only the responsibility of owning a home, but also the options available to them should they be facing financial difficulties." Kristen became a HELP Certified Specialist in October 2009 (which was the Program's inaugural class).
The HELP Certification Program is offered to real estate industry professionals who desire to set themselves apart from the competition by aligning with the Program. On top of signing a strict code of conduct, the Certification Class Attendees must endure training on a variety of real estate related topics such as short sales, loan modifications, government loan programs, fiduciary responsibility, ethics, bankruptcy, insolvency, income taxes, property taxes, and more. The list of Certified Specialists is made available to the public on the website www.freehomeownershiphelp.org.
