New Day Church has Great Expectations for Big God Weekend
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) May 3, 2010 --
Kettering, OHIO—For the second year in a row, New Day Church (www.newdaysbc.com) will host special guest speaker Ken Freeman (http://kenfreemanministries.com/) for its Big God Weekend May 8-10 at the Lathrem Center at Kettering Recreation Center.
New Day invited Freeman, an evangelist living in Texas, to return to Dayton to speak in community meetings hosted by the church with great results in mind.
“Ken is back by popular demand,” said Barry Jude, New Day pastor (www.broadlf.com/NewDay/blog/). “Not only did our people love hearing Ken speak, but we found that they were eager for their friends and neighbors to hear him, too. His message is powerful, timely and life-changing.”
Freeman’s trademark down-to-earth style and transparency make him a popular church, conference, camp and school speaker. He has traveled the U.S. and Canada and spoken in more than 3,000 churches, authored two books and seen more than 200,000 decisions for Christ. The demand for his message is particularly impressive in light of the fact that Freeman suffered child abuse and neglect and overcame many challenges early in life.
“Ken gets to the heart,” Jude said. “He is able to strip away the facade that so many people hide behind, and when that happens, it’s a big relief. It makes for a Big God Weekend. We expect God to move among us in a big way with Ken on hand.” Jude said 31 people made decisions for Christ at meetings sponsored by New Day Church after hearing Freeman speak last year. “In a church our size [about 100 people], that’s big.”
Meetings begin at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, May 8 and continue through Monday, May 10. For more information, contact New Day Church.
