Helpful Technologies start the Clean Air School Bus Initiative

November 20, 2009

Every day over 24 million children inhale toxic exhaust riding school busses. The EPA studies reveal a national problem. Helpful Technologies pioneers in helping children breathe clean air.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) November 20, 2009 -- Princeton, NJ, November 19, 2009. Every day over 500,000 buses carry over 24 million children, providing safe and convenient transportation to the schools, field trips, sport activities and other events. Most buses are powered with diesel engines, which pollute the air inside of bus, having children inhale over 40 toxic substances, most dangerous of which is soot. This damages their lungs and, in many cases leads to respiratory problems, asthma, cancer, and, sometimes, premature death. Children are at the increased level of risk because they breathe at a faster rate than adults.

"We spent over 12 years for scientific research and development of technology that provides for reduction of toxic emissions, greenhouse gasses pollution, and reduction of soot exhaust; and we have proven results.", - said Helpful Technologies COO Sergey Gurin.

As we looked into the school bus segment, it became clear that there is a national problem with air pollution in the school buses, where over 24 million children breathe for an average 1½ hours per day.

The EPA studies reveal a five-time higher pollution rate within the bus versus outside of the bus. We have reviewed the individual state and city programs to solve this problem and our findings were shocking.

The activities in this area consisted of reduced idling, where children freeze during the winter and breathe without AC during summer, and installing the filters, which, in opinion of our scientists, is a temporary solution which does not solve the problem.

Some cities offer the children to wear filtering masks, which fashion conscious kids find absolutely embarrassing.

The other alternative offered was to replace old school buses with new ones, but new buses still produce a great deal of pollution in addition to the fact that budget issues in the school districts prevent the massive fleet renovation.

On November 19, 2009 we have started the Clean Air School Bus Initiative.

While government spends billions of dollars to bail-out failed automakers and sponsor solutions well lobbied by large enterprises, our scientists and engineers work on improving combustion and thus solving the problem in core.

Our scientists are presently focused on applying our proprietary Fuecotech technology to school buses and producing prototypes for each of the school bus engines. Once the prototypes are ready, we will test their performance with the state DEP lab, and then begin manufacturing and installing F.C. devices on school buses across the United States.

Our mission is to focus on reducing toxic emissions in and around school buses. Our ultimate goal is improving 500,000 buses across the United States, helping American children breathe fresh air.

We are committed to decrease CO2 emissions by at least 10% and reduce soot exhaust by 50%.

We appeal to your sence of humanity and ask for your support.
