A brand new venture has just opened in Warrington by local business woman Laura Shaw (left). Fascinated and obsessed by tracing friends and relatives family trees Laura is now using all her skills, knowledge and experience to help other uncover their past.

“I absolutely love researching family records, and uncovering different information about families; their history; what they did and where they lived” says Laura.

Her company, Heritage Gold, offers a full range of family tree and genealogy services and offers everyone free initial advice about their queries. It is also a member of the Society of Genealogists.

Some customers will want to know about all their ancestors, others will want to trace only their fathers or their mothers side, and some will want to know about someone specific, such as an uncle that used to be in the Army. All stories have a starting point and Laura asks everyone for as much information as they already have, whether it is names, dates of birth, where they lived, old photos or just family memories or stories. Heritage Gold then goes into action, tracking down, tracing and verifying as much information as possible and supplying all the relevant documents and certificates that can be found. The final aim is to unlock as much accurate information as possible and to make peoples past lives a journey of discovery.
