Heske Horror to Film "Unrest"

Award-winning indie comic creator will turn to Big Screen in 2011 with DVD release

(Shrewsbury, Massachusetts; August 30, 2010) – Robert M. Heske, Managing Director of Heske Horror, has announced plans to film a micro-budget horror feature titled UNREST. The film, a tale about a brutal home invasion with a supernatural twist, will be shot in Spring/Summer 2011. Heske, a screenwriter whose credits include the award-winning short films Waiting and No Middle Ground and who is the writer/co-creator of the upcoming vampire feature The Night Projectionist, calls UNREST a cross between the 2008 UK indie horror cult film Eden Lake and the 1999 supernatural psychological thriller Stir of Echoes starring Kevin Bacon. Heske originally wrote the script based on his brother’s berm house in Illinois; however, he is currently scouting locations in Massachusetts.

"A berm house is a house that is partially built into the ground ... which provides a perfect portal for a supernatural connection," Heske says. "What if your bedroom wall were connected to an unmarked grave of people who were murdered 50 years ago? And what if a violent intrusion into the home stirred these restless spirits? What would happen? That's the premise of UNREST."
