High Number of Massachusetts Insurance Producers Not in Compliance

June 13, 2011 – Broker Educational Sales and Training, Inc. (BEST), a premier provider of continuing education for financial and insurance professionals nationwide, would like to inform all Massachusetts producers that effective June 3, 2011 - All licensed resident insurance producers have until December 31, 2011 to come into compliance with ANY outstanding CE requirements. On or after January 1, 2012, the Division will again review the CE compliance status of all licensed resident insurance producers, and may take enforcement action against any licensee who remains out of compliance with CE requirements. Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 175, § 177E and 211 CMR 50.00 require all licensed resident insurance producers, unless otherwise exempt, to meet the following CE requirements:

- All newly licensed Massachusetts producers are required to complete the initial 60 credit hours of CE their first triennial period
- All existing Massachusetts producers are required to complete 45 credit hours of CE triennially thereafter
