(www.ProFightNetwork.com) Now make no bones about it, a high school New York State wrestling champion is not a title to throw sour grapes at. However, if one was presented an option to pick a fight between a 2 time All-American division one wrestler and a high school standout, most reasonable people would side with the college great, especially if the fight was almost entirely on the ground.

http://www.ProFightNetwork.com All picks are off when they involve 205 pound sensation Jon Jones who earned his 12th career win as he defeated fellow up-and-comer, Ryan Bader, by submission in the second round of their UFC 126 match-up. Jones was able to make his presence known, stuffing all of Bader’s takedown attempts en route to a win by guillotine choke at 4:20 of the round.
In addition, Jones, to his surprise, was told during his post fight interview with Joe Rogan that Rashad Evans has blown his knee out and the UFC is offering him a title shot against Mauricio “Shogun” Rua in March.
Jones told a UFC post news conference, "I feel as if it's my time," said the 23-year-old Jones. "I'm hungry and I'm going for it."
In putting the first blemish on Bader's professional record, Jones subjugated from the start. He stuffed all of the two-time All-American wrestler's takedown attempts, meandering up atop Bader on the mat three times during the fight. He kept Bader trapped underneath him for minutes in the first round, threatening with a choke and dominating positions throughout.
At the end of the day we are reminded of young man named George St. Pierre who looked to get better every time he went inside the octagon. Jon Jones resemble the UFC legend in almost every aspect other then at 23, he is already 12-1, has fought some big names, & already looks to have the ground game to dictate where the fight will go. Wrestlers can relax, knowing that Jones tributes the sport of wrestling to his foundation, maybe it is time we give the high school wrestling studs more credit?
