High-Temperature High-Pressure Valve -Takasago Electric, Inc.

(Free-Press-Release.com) November 2, 2011 -- We are pleased to introduce a newly designed chemically inert solenoid valve, which can be used for aggressive fluids of high-temperatures up to 180 degrees C and high-pressures up to 800 kPa.

・For high temperatures and pressures

Fluorocarbon polymers are the main materials of chemically inert valves and are easy to deform due to temperature changes, which tends to result in valve leakage. This new product employs a unique mechanism to absorb the dimensional changes of the plastic body caused by temperature changes. Therefore, it stably seals high-temperature fluids under high operating pressure. (Please note that 180 degrees C is the maximum media temperature and the ambient temperature is up to 40 degrees C.)

・High chemical inertness
Only fluorocarbon polymers (PFA and Perfluoroelastomer) are used as the wetted materials, which withstand aggressive fluids. The valve is suitable for the case that sulfuric acid is heated for COD measurement. Even for other applications, please consider the handling of high-temperature and high-pressure aggressive fluids by this valve, although such fluids had been difficult to handle with miniature solenoid valves in the past.

・Reliable basic design

The outer dimensions are dia. 25 x L47.5 mm. The orifice diameter is 1.8 mm. The new specifications of a high-temperature and pressure have been achieved based upon the MTV series’ design, which has been adapted for various analytical instruments.
