Highly Anticipated Emerge! Returns to September New York Fashion Week

Deemed the hottest emerging designer runway showcase, Emerge! is the event fashion industry professionals, influencers, insiders and VIP's attend to see the best in up and coming designs, styles, and trends. Hosted at one of New York's most fabulous venues- the Broad Street Ballroom (41 Broad Street, NYC), Emerge! joins the best in New York Fashion Week's line of the "must attend" events of the season.

Emerge! provides emerging fashion designers an opportunity to showcase their designs to an audience of fashion industry leaders, buyers, press and celebrities. The fashion runway show gives up-and-coming designers a platform to propel them into the spotlight.

"I joined the Emerge movement after seeing what Dionne Williams was able to pull off from the Windy City here in the Big Apple," says Tai Chun, CEO of MVC Productions who was chosen to style the runway show. "With Genart closing its doors and slowly creeping back. I fell in love with the possibility of a new way to view the emerging and talented new designers! I had to be on board to make that happen! Here's to Emerge!- the Future of Fashion!"

Fashion Innovator Award

Each season Emerge! presents the coveted Fashion Innovator Award which is given to a legendary individual who has made a difference in the New York Fashion industry. The September 2011 Fashion Innovator Award will be given to Constance C.R. White, Editor-in-Chief of ESSENCE Magazine . White is a noted journalist, editor, author, culture and style expert whose work and accolades extend from a long list of top publications including The New York Times, Elle Magazine, Women's Wear Daily, W magazine, British Vogue and Glamour. Designer Tracy Reese will present the award.

Emerge! Fashion Salon
Hosted inside the historical landmark, guests will also enjoy the "Emerge! Fashion Salon" where luxury brands are previewed and sampled.

Emerge! with a Purpose

In keeping with a purpose of giving back to the community, this year Emerge! will support the not-for-profit organization Art Start. Art Start is a New York City award-winning, nationally recognized organization that uses creative arts to transform the lives of disadvantaged youth. During the fashion show event guests will be prompted to donate to Art Start by texting "Emerge" on their cell phones when given the special code at the event.
