FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) April 9, 2010 --
Pastor Kim McLean will be bringing her “Hip and Holy” Revival to Carmi Church of the Nazarene April 28-May 2, 2010 in a series of music and message presentations that apply God’s Word to our current life experiences. Blending both traditional and contemporary music with honest testimony and deep Biblical study, Kim McLean’s message is one of hope that bridges the spiritual “generation gap.”
A professional songwriter in Nashville, her original songs have been recorded by Tim McGraw, Trisha Yearwood, Lee Ann Womack, and heard on TV’s JAG, West Wing, Cold Case, and Hope & Faith. In gospel music her original songs have been sung by LordSong, Misty Freeman, The Florida Boys, The Nelons, and The Martins, one of which, “Count Your Blessing” garnered Song of the Year at the Gospel Music Awards.
Called to the ministry, she used her songwriting royalties to get her education from Trevecca Nazarene University with her undergraduate degree in 2006, her Masters in Biblical Theology in 2008, and her ordination into the Church of the Nazarene in 2009.
Falling in love with the uplifting message within the holiness tradition, Kim McLean found that being free from “white-knuckling” to hold on to living a good life isn’t an antiquated notion, but one of current need in our lives today. Her message is of healing our broken hearts, healing our broken families, healing our broken nation, and healing our broken world, a real message she has lived in her own life.
Beginning Wednesday night at Carmi Church of the Nazarene at 107 6th St., Carmi, IL 62821 at 7pm and continuing on Thursday night, the Revival will move to the old fashioned Revival Tent next to the church for Friday and Saturday. There will be a Women’s Brunch on Saturday, May 1 at 10 a.m. with a focus on issues that women deal with specifically such as mother/daughter relationships, eating disorders, divorce, and healing broken families. Sunday morning concludes the revival with the 10 a.m. Sunday service with Pastor Kim McLean and Pastor Dallas Robinson.
The “Hip & Holy” Revival is open to all, no matter the church affiliation or lack there of. This will be a very real, very healing time of worship and relationship with God.
