HipHopArtist.com launches a new video blog dedicated to all the most successful hip hop artists that helped shape the entire industry.
Hip hop is a subculture that originated during the 1970's in the Bronx, New York City. DJ Kool Herc is credited as the father of hip hop. DJ Kool Herc would throw block parties and mix samples from records and add his own lyrics over the beats.
This was the beginning of hip hop, which later spread to both urban and suburban communities throughout the entire world. The early pioneers of hip hop are some of the best and most influencial hip hop artists of all time.
Even today, many people like "old school" hip hop music more than the current evolution of the sound and style. Cathy Seiler says, "Hip hop was so fresh and innovative back in the 1980's. I didn't like the transtion to gangsta rap in the early 1990's, with an emphasis on drugs and violence."
HipHopArtist.com focuses only on the classic hip hop artists and features the most popular hip hop videos on our blog. We plan to post new videos weekly and promote the top 500 hip hop artists from around the world.
