Ho Ekklesia is The Church of Christ - The Reflection of God's Mercy on Earth because we are Born Again.

What does this word Mercy mean ? And what does it mean in relation to one that will be passing judgment on the deeds of men ? The word Mercy means to have compassion or compassionate, to have pity, and lastly in relation to a living God unto those that are destined to be placed into the church of Christ it means divine grace. The Ekklesia is called out from living worldly because of God's divine grace. Divine means godlike, that which supersedes and is far above earthly comprehension -- Grace, well Grace would be, where God is concerned, his unmerited favor. Divine Mercy is the unmerited favor from above bestowed upon the Ekklesia with its reflections within their heart of whom we also refer to as the church of Christ.

As men are being born again by Jesus Christ through his words we, being the church of Christ need to be mindful of this grace, but actually we really should say -- we need to be mindful of this unmerited favor of God to us so as not to take the favor of God in vain. Being born again by the word of God is a favor bestowed upon us by God that we had absolutely nothing to do with meriting. Let us take a moment to look at Romans 9:15 as the incarnate Christ speaks to Moses, Christ boldly declares his right and authority to decide as he will towards men " for he said to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion " and in verse 16 the Scripture tells us " so then it is not of him that is willing, nor of him that runs, but of God that shows mercy "which plainly means it doesn't matter what man thinks he wants to do, or what he does, it's all about what I decide. The Ekklesia is put together based on God's own mercy and own compassion and not because of any conscious decisions or any physical actions from mankind. When this grace, speaking of the new birth, is revealed, understood, and pondered upon of those that are being placed into the church of Christ then the grace of God starts to shine forth from within the hearts of believers and is seen as surely as one can see the shining of the light from the sun.
