Hoboken resident Julie Kushner published her new novel, Life Sucks, Death Bites!

36-year old actuary Gerald Blumenstein despised every aspect of his life. Life Sucks, Death Bites is a dark comedy about the inconveniences of daily life and nightly “undeath,” with some romance and a bit of psychotherapy thrown in for good measure. Julie Kushner received a B.A. in Journalism, with a concentration in Broadcast, from the Pennsylvania State University, summa cum laude. She graduated first in her major, with minors in both Psychology and Law and Liberal Arts. Julie is also a member of Phi Beta Kappa.

The self proclaimed “Starving Novelist” went on to receive her Juris Doctor from the George Washington University Law School. There, she received a merit scholarship and was selected and served as a Legal Research and Writing Fellow for two years.

In addition to Life Sucks, Death Bites, Julie Kushner is also the author of the Hollywood Warlock, and writes for the blog “TV Recappers Anonymous.”
