October 6, 2011, North Yorkshire, UK & Connecticut, US – British producer, director, and screenwriter Deborah Louise Robinson and her business partner, American published author and producer Pamela S. K. Glasner, have announced a feature-length documentary entitled “Last Will and Embezzlement,” which will examine the financial exploitation of the elderly.

Elder exploitation is among the safest and most lucrative criminal enterprises in the world, being on of the least reported and least prosecuted of all crimes. With 11,000 American Baby Boomers turning 65 daily for the next 19 years (61,000 globally, in modernized countries), and with Baby Boomers controlling a full 80 percent of personal liquid assets, the world is about to experience the largest transfer of wealth, from one generation to the next, in human history.

The potential losses to three generations through exploitation and embezzlement are astronomical.

The documentary, which stars Mickey Rooney and is produced by Starjack Entertainment, is expected to be released in January of 2012.

Robinson and Glasner hope that this documentary will shine a light on this global problem, help those who have potentially-vulnerable adults in their lives to be on the look-out for signs of abuse, and maybe even make some waves in the communities where the rights of senior citizens are not being looked after and protected by politicians, public servants and the law enforcement officials who are charged with that responsibility.
