Home Helpers and Direct Link of Saratoga Announce Launch of Medication Management System
Home Helpers and Direct Link of Saratoga announce the launch of a medication management system that offers a reliable solution to managing multiple medications.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) August 18, 2010 --
Home Helpers and Direct Link of Saratoga announce the launch of a medication management system that offers a reliable solution to managing multiple medications, especially those that must be taken at specific times during the day. The system incorporates an automated medication dispenser with a telephone link to a round-the-clock care center.
The tabletop dispenser operates with user-friendly microchip technology to dispense multiple medications at preset times. The user loads up to 28 doses of medication, sets the digital alarm clock then closes the unit under lock and key. When a dose is ready, an alarm sounds and a red light flashes. If the dose is not taken, the care center is alerted and will call with a reminder.
Compatible with digital cable/VoIP phone service, the unit is AC operated with a 72-hour, rechargeable back-up battery for travel or power failures.
The cost of the system is $55 per month with an initial $50 installation fee. Discounted packages are available through Home Helpers, which also offers user training for the medication management system.
"This system is ideal for seniors, busy moms, young kids – anyone who needs a gentle reminder to take medication on time," says Debra L. Obenhoff, owner and president of Home Helpers of Saratoga Springs. "Users will have fewer worries about forgetting to take a dose, taking a double dose, taking pills at the wrong time, opening and closing pill bottles, identifying pills or bottles if the user is visually impaired."
Home Helpers provides personal and non-medical senior care, care for new mothers, recuperative care and continuing care using experienced, dependable caregivers who are carefully selected and thoroughly screened. Home Helpers services are provided in homes, hospitals, retirement communities, nursing homes and rehabilitation centers. Direct Link provides in-home, round-the-clock emergency monitoring.
