Potato
Potatoes have brilliant anti-ageing properties. When potato slices are applied to your eyes for 10 minutes the same way in which cucumber slices are applied, they are instantly refreshed and revitalised. Potato can be used all over the face when made into a smooth paste, by grinding one medium sized potato with two tablespoons of apple sauce and applying onto the skin for 15-25 minutes. Afterwards rinse with warm water, your skin will be glowing from the inside out.
Vitamins
Vitamin supplements help to improve the overall texture and complexion of your skin. When applied topically to the skin they can produce great anti-ageing results. Mixing lentil flour with tomato puree, half a teaspoon of lemon juice and half an inch of turmeric paste and applying it to the face twice or three times a week will make the skin smooth, supple and renewed.
Papaya
Ripe Papaya can be mashed and applied to your face for 20-30 minutes for a rich anti-ageing facial. Remove with lukewarm water and if desired, add a little bit of moisturiser. Alternatively, banana can also be used for to make an equally as moisturising facial mask.
Pineapple
By cutting off the core of a pineapple and rubbing it over your face it has been proven to be effective in diminishing the signs of early wrinkles and lines. After rubbing the pineapple onto the face leave to dry for 10-15 minutes then gently remove with water.
Water
This is a fairly obvious anti-ageing remedy but one that is often overlooked. Being adequately hydrated can work wonders for your skin. Your skin becomes plumper, fresher and therefore younger looking if you drink plenty of water daily, 6-8 glasses although this does not have to be water, any fluid counts towards your daily quota although water is the most cleansing for the system and for the skin.
Lemons
Lemon juice is not just for drinking; using a few drops of lemon juice on cotton wool and dabbing it on your face as part of your daily cleansing routine can reduce the appearance of blemishes, uneven skin tone and age spots. If your skin is sensitive you may wish to slightly dilute the lemon juice.
