Honor Flight Historic Triangle Virginia Looking For WWII Veterans

Honor Flight Historic Triangle Virginia is preparing for its 7th trip to Washington DC on April 28, 2012 and is looking for WWII Veterans to go to the National World War II Memorial.

Richmond, VA (February 16, 2012) - The trip will depart April 28, 2012 from VFW Battlefield Post 9808, 7168 Flag Lane, Mechanicsville, VA 23111.
Honor Flight Historic Triangle Virginia (HFHTVA) was formed in 2008 and is a part of a national organization that exists for one reason: To take every WWII Veteran who has not seen it, and is capable, to see their monument at no cost.

http://www.HonorFlightHTVA.org The trip is free to WWII Veterans, meals, travel, support and everything else is provided at no cost. The trip is a full day which includes breakfast, a departure ceremony, a stop at Arlington Cemetery, IWO Jima, the WWII Memorial and dinner at the Quantico Marine Corps Museum. Veterans are accompanied by guardians who look after their needs and an Emergency Medical Technician will be on each bus to provide first aid at any time during the trip. The HFHTVA accepts Veterans in wheelchairs, walkers, and those on oxygen, the buses are wheelchair accessible.
"I cannot find words with which to express adequately my sincere appreciation for the great care you took of me," said R.F. Furman, WWII Veteran. "You and your group truly showed great honor and concern for us old timers. I don't recall having been so greatly honored since I marched in my last parade in l945."
