DJ East 137 knows the Bronx, the hood, and the turntables and plans
to use that background to release music that positively impacts the hip hop culture.

January 4, 2010, Washington, DC -- In May of 2010, A Get Wit It Productions is slated to unleash Hood Related Entertainment. The hip hop label will debut its first United States release “Book of Rhymes" by recording artist DJ East 137. Book of Rhymes presents a nostalgic look at the eighties and nineties in the urban streets of the Boogie Down Bronx with a non-confrontational review of the good and not so good times while residing in New York City Housing. The recording is written, produced, and performed by Edgardo Rivera aka DJ East 137. He is also the founder and CEO of Hood Related Entertainment. This production includes a sample from Minnie Riperton's "Inside My Love", and suffered a hiccup when contact with copyrights and master recording owners became illusive. However, DJ E was able to recreate the original sample in an effort to maintain the integrity of the original sound and feel. HRE wants to level the hip hop entertainment field by producing music that positively impacts the hip hop culture.
