Parks
Saint Helens have several major parks and open spaces. These include Taylor Park, a listed Grade II Historic Park and Garden that opened in 1893 as well. There is also Victoria Park which is located near the town centre.
Sherdley Park is a modern park in Sutton which features a petting zoo and holds a fair each Summer.
Parr has Gaskell Park in addition to the reclaimed open space known as The Duckeries which shares a boundary with boggy heathland known as "The Moss".
A 20m tall sculpture of womans head called Dream is situated on a former colliery in Sutton Manor and can be seen from the M62 motorway.

Night Life
The town centre is a very popular nightlife attraction with visitors from all over Merseyside. There are many bars; Rubino, Dali Bar, Bar Java and Zoo are popular establishments located in the town centre. There are a few bars that are licensed to serve alcohol until 3am and beyond. There is one main nightclub in the town centre known as Club Rouge which opened in 2009. There are many restaurants in the town centre with cuisine from all over the world. The George Street Quarter offers Italian, Spanish, French/Modern British at Le Frog, Chinese and Thai cuisine.
