Award-winning choreographer Raimund Hoghe will present his latest piece at the Centre Pompidou in December.

Travellers who have made Paris hotel bookings in December can see the production from the 8th to the 11th of the month at the Centre Pompidou.

It is entitled Si Je Meurs Laissez Le Balcon Ouvert, with the name borrowed from the writing of Federico Garcia Lorca.

Hoghe was named dancer of the year in 2008 by the magazine ballet-tanz and has received a host of other accolades for his work, making this new production a must-see occasion for fans of dance staying at nearby accommodation such as Concortel Hotel Paris.


On his official website, the dancer hailed the power of music and stated that it is important that people who do not fit the norm of beauty appear on stage.

He added: "On the question of success: it is important to be able to work and to go your own way - with or without success. I simply do what I have to do."

Among his previous productions are Sans-Titre, Bolero Variations, Tanzgeschicten and Swan Lake 4 Acts, which saw him awarded the French Prix de la Critique in 2006.

The show at the Centre Pompidou costs between €10 and €14, with the performance kicking off at 20:30 local time.
