Hotram Resort grants scholarship program to employees' children

(Free-Press-Release.com) September 5, 2010 -- Vung Tau, Vietnam- Twenty five students were presented with scholarship awards in the name of the Madame Hien Children Education Welfare. The scholarship pogram covers the students' attendance to school year 2010 - 2011.
The initiave was established by the wife of Hotram Beach Resort's who was a strong advocate for children education. It is strongly supported by the resort's management.

The Hotram Resort Education Scholarship program is an annual activity of the resort offering cash, school supplies and other educational materials. The contributions offer scholarships and special assistance to the children's education of the resort employees.
Totaling over $1000.00, thanks to the generous financial support from the Hotram Resort Owners Mr. Tu Ngoc Le and Madam Ba Nguyen Thi Hien and the management of the resort awarded a total amount of $1,000.00 on August 29, 2010 to the deserving beneficiaries.

"Despite the economic challenges facing our industry, our owners allied with the management stepped up to the plate, donating cash, school supplies and other goodies allowing us to award a number of scholarships to deserving bright students as incentives to their hard work in going to school," Allan Tuppil Hotram Resort general manager said.
Topping the list of Hotram Bright Children Scholarship Award was Võ Thị Minh Thúy, 16 years old with excellent grades in High school level. Thuy is the daughter of Security officers Mr. Võ Văn Tùng who received a one year full scholarship allowance and school supplles to attend high school for the year 2010 to 2011.

Awards were also given to Võ Thị Thoại Trâm, Nguyễn Thị Ý Nhi, Nguyễn Thị Thùy Trang, Lâm Đình Thắng with the satisfactory grades at mid school and high school level. They were granted cash allowance for one year and school supplies. Twenty (20) other students attending schools of different levels from Kindergarden, elementary to high school also received gift and school supplies.
"The beauty of this program is that it is more than just donating money, it involves the company, employee's family, children and the community working together to create a sustainable, viable social enterprise," Tuppil said.

The resort employs over 200 staff and 80 percent of the employees are local community hired. "We believe in the saying ‘if you give a man a fish, he eats for one day; but teach a man to fish and he shall eat for a lifetime. We are working to give our employee's childrens a motivation that makes them self sufficient for the future," he said.
"In our business, we look after people -- and working with them to support encourage their children to study harder. This incentive is one way of looking after the young generation, and help foster their growth into a bright and productive future." Tuppil added.
