Houston overhead door expert shows how to save money on overhead door maintenance

Catching them earlier allows you to fix them easily and cheaply,” King said.

He advises periodic lubrication using silicone, light oil or white lithium grease.

“Besides lubricating the door parts, they should also test the door operations by placing an object flat on the floor, and then attempt to close the door. It should reverse automatically when it encounters the object,” King said.
