Hovitaga made a free version of their OpenSQL Editor tool available for SAP systems

(Free-Press-Release.com) January 26, 2012 -- Hovitaga created a free version of Hovitaga OpenSQL Editor for SAP systems which is an extension of the SAP development workbench and provides many innovative features to work with the database of the SAP system.

Hovitaga OpenSQL Editor is a powerful tool for SAP consultants, ABAP developers and basis administrators that helps to work with the database of an SAP system. It provides an intuitive way to build and analyze SQL queries, which was not possible using the standard tools of SAP.

The old way of testing SQL queries - creating a new program and implementing the data retrieval and display on the UI manually - is finally gone. This new tool allows developers and consultants to create, test and analyze SQL commands on the fly without creating any programs. The result set is displayed immediately with various UI components (list, tree, chart etc). This way SQL queries can be built faster and code quality can be increased by easier and quicker testing. Maintenance efforts can be greatly reduced because of easier identification of database related problems.

The free version has no time, user or system limitations, but it does not contain all the features of the full version.
