The 15 strong group of members was joined by 12 women from the neighbouring parish for a meeting to discuss upcoming joint fundraising ventures. However, on Thursday 23 October 2011, the normally sedate meeting turned into an unplanned celebration - all due to the purchase of a new Tassimo coffee maker.

So impressed were the ladies with the taste of their first cup of freshly brewed coffee, using the new Tassimo coffee maker, that they all ordered a second cup of coffee. The exclamations of joy and delight prompted many tea-drinking ladies to also have a cup of real coffee. This meant that over 2 dozen cups of fresh coffee were brewed at the coffee morning.

The good natured, even celebratory, meeting ended with the Tilbury Wells ladies being invited to visit the neighbouring WI branch the following month.

The rumour going around is that the neighbours have already ordered a new Tassimo coffee maker to ensure they are not outdone by the Tilbury Wells ladies at next month's meeting.
