HOW SUCCESSFUL PEOPLE ACHIEVE THEIR WEALTH

January 16, 2012

Wealth is created through hard work, determination and ambition. You can never be wealthy in a fortnight unless you hit the jackpot or broke into the bank.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) January 16, 2012 -- Apparently, everyone of us would love to be wealthy at some point in life. But whenever you ask people to choose between self employment and getting hired, they will obviously tell you that getting employed is the best there is. They probably like the idea because of the sense of security it comes with, the guaranteed payments at the end of each month plus other benefits. My argument here is that practically there is no employment on this earth that can make you wealthy unless the organisation your working for is not after profits. I believe that can never be the case.

In my own country, the kikuyu people are known to be wealthy because of their investments tactics. They save the little they get and eventually put it it in big projects. Overtime, they accumulate wealth as their business come to fruition. Their families are often seen living a good life.
This has prompted me to ask myself what exactly drives entrepreneurs to go the business way and achieve success. I have learned that these people generally don't think employment, rather they are driven by determination, motivation and ability to see far, where others cannot see. They don't give their ideas a second thought and so are often risky pursuits. Ones an idea is formed, it is pursued regardless of the risks involved.

They often ignore critics, advise from experts or even their team mates. An entrepreneur is someone who has two sides, arrogant but humble. Think of people like Richard Branson, a business guru who started from a humble background and today he is one of the most noticeable figures in the business world. He initially started the virgin groups of companies dealing with a range of products at the time. Nobody knew that he would one day land in the aviation industry. He pooled the little funds that he had and leased a plane to start with. I think this was a leap of faith because if you don't have the courage, you are bound to fail miserably. He is quoted saying that some of his top advisers thought he was crazy, they even declined the idea siting various reasons.
He is also known to have exceptional managerial skills though he is a school drop out. He has successfully lead his team with crafted expertise and this has played a greater role in his success. I personally like one of his quotes that says " like dotted pictures, a child initially finds it difficult to join everything together, but ones he joins the dots, the task becomes much easier." This is how he describes his humble beginning.

I think all of us should adopt this type of mind if we indeed want to be wealthy, we should develop the culture of saving like the japanese. This way, we would be able to achieve dreams not just by saying, but through action. One of my new year resolutions is to save and save more. I hope many more are going to do so.
