http://www.contemporarylogliving.com The show which looks set to be a record breaking event for attendances will delight its visitors by capturing the essence of how Sweden are leading the field with their Jorntrahus brand of homes featuring contemporary living spaces that are both eco-friendly and highly efficient on saving energy.
The show village itself will feature four full scale homes that will give visitors the chance to walk from Coronation Street to the Swedish Jorntrahus of the future to capture how far interior design and traditional British homes have evolved over the last few decades.
The setting for this all time favourite part of the show has been designed through the creative vision of David Richards. When asked why the Swedish Jorntrahus home had been selected David replied “Having visited a Jorntrahus home recently in Sweden, I was in awe of the way in which the open plan designs allow for that wonderful family togetherness of living, dining and recreation in one space. So I was delighted to be able to bring the same inspiring design to the UK at this show.”
Inspired and spurred on by the hugely popular television programme Grand Designs, the show will be a world exclusive launch of the Jorntrahus Trend homes to the UK marketplace. With David Cameron’s green vision of energy efficient affordable homes and a Northern European alliance for trade boosting the economy in the next ten years it seems that anyone seeking an exclusive self-build contemporary style home will be given the opportunity to simply choose their own location.
There are currently around 31,000 self-build homes being built every year in the UK and we can expect to see that figure double within the next 18 months as the new government legislation clears the way for more energy efficient homes to be built to help bring growth back into the economy.
The Jorntrahus brand is to be sold exclusively within Jorntrahus UK who will be at the Ideal Home Show to answer any questions you have. The national sales manager, Pete Cossie is delighted at the level of initial enquiries and recently said “We now have a great opportunity to supply a high quality Swedish product that meets the strict criteria of the now more informed and discerning British home buyer without compromising on their love of individuality.”
