The LightScribe SuperDrive gives users the ability to burn DVDs and CDs. If your LightScribe SuperDrive isn't working properly, you will need to update the driver on your computer's "Device Manager" to get it working again. Once the drive is working properly, you will be able to burn DVDs and CDs. You don't have to be a computer technician to get your LightScribe DVD drive up and running. You can do it yourself with little hassle and just a few clicks of the mouse

Instructions

Click the "Start" button and then click on the "Control Panel" option on the menu. Click on the "System and Maintenance" option and then click "Device Manager" from the menu.

Enter your administrator password into the field that appears on the screen and press the "Enter" button on your keyboard.

Click on the "DVD And CD Drives" option on the "Device Manager" window to expand it. Right click on the "LightScribe DVD" icon and then click "Update Driver" from the menu that appears.

Wait for the computer to update the DVD drive's driver. This will take about 20 seconds to complete. The system will notify you when the driver has been updated.

Exit out of the "Device Manager" and then press the "Open" button on the front of the drive. Insert a blank DVD into the drive and press the button again to close the drive.

Wait for the drive to recognize the blank DVD and then drag your files to the DVD icon via the "DVD" icon on your desktop. Click on the DVD icon to open the DVD window.

Click the "Burn" button on the top of the DVD window. Wait for the DVD to burn in your drive. The drive will open when the DVD is finished burning.
