How to find the right size eye glasses ?

52 mm is the width of lens, 18mm is the width of the nose bridge between lenses and 138 is the length of the arm which sit on your ear, Some websites also mention the height and total width of the frame. e.g. 52-18-138-20 total width=127, here 20 is the height of the frame.

You can always use a ruler to find this. Make sure you buy eyeglasses with sizes comparable to what you have or go to a optical store/ optician or Eye Doctor and find the perfect fit for your face and note down the measurements.

Many websites have advance search where you can search for eye frames close to your size. After you have this part figured out all you have to worry about is ordering the right lenses, this is very easy if you know what type you need, first you need to know what kind of lenses do you wear single vision which are used for distance or reading correction only, bifocal which have a distinct line on them and are used for both distance and reading, usually used by people above 40. The progressive lenses have no line but have distance, intermediate and reading correction in them (newer generation lenses). If your prescription is above -/+4 then choose a thinner hi-index lens or your eyeglasses might look like a coke bottle.
