How To Get Your Music on The United Kingdom Top 100 Music Charts, for music publishers, singer-songwriters and music artist searching for music industry service distributors and top 40 music chart information.

Many online music distributor companies state they charge money and can help get your music ranked on the top 100 UK music charts if you use their digital music formats, but….there is no real step by step digital music format that will rank any artist, over and above other music artists… other than how many songs sold in a given week.
Any music distributor company who claims this is falsely taking your money.
For your music to be eligibly ranked on itunes music charts or Billboard charts, you need your music to have international copyrights and bar codes on the music products you sell.
Sales that make the charts are only tracked by bar codes both online and in real retail outlet stores in cities globally.

Selling and distributing your own music on websites and e-bay doesn’t count, remember your music must be sold by music company distributors like, itunes, amazon, and ect…..

If you do need a music company to help get your music to the distributor companies, you can pay a small yearly fee of about $49.00 to a music company called Tunecore.
Tunecore and a company called CD Baby, both will present your music to the large music distributing companies like itunes, amazon and e-music, but that’s basically all they do.
These companies make it far easier to get your music sold as CD’s and MP3’s.
Tunecore for example even collects all your money from the music distributor companies and it’s all part of the yearly $49.00 album fee they charge.

You can also solicit your own music to itunes, amazon and e-music, but it may take years before you see these companies selling your music.

The reason is simple, large major studio recordings and top indie music artist will get reviewed have connections with these companies and can get there music online selling faster.
But you as a person have almost no chance to ever get your music heard on itunes or amazon…unless you sign up with a company like Tunecore or CD Baby.
The reason a company like Tunecore can get your music heard and selling online very fast is because they deal with both major music artist and indie artist.
Normally within 6 weeks your music will appear selling online.

Yet even if you get your music selling online, with International bar codes on itunes, amazon, Napster, e-music, and other music distributing companies, it doesn’t mean your music will ever get ranked on the UK music top 100 charts.
To get ranked on these charts, you music must be the best of the best, your music fan base, must be huge and thousands of people must be purchasing your music at a very fast rate to help your music climb the charts.

Truthfully there’s millions of songs world wide including both Big Major Studio Labels and their music artist and indie studio music artist, and they are all trying to get their music ranked on the charts.
Yet the major studios may spend up to 2 million dollars to promote an album online.

The trouble is independent music artist seemly have no chance to get their music ranked on top the music charts from online sales, simply because not enough people will ever discover their music without a huge fan base, and tons of advertising online, and the same goes for CD sales in retail stores like Walmart, Barns and Nobles and music warehouses.

Yet myself as a music artist, singer songwriter and rock, blues guitarist have managed to get my music sold online without signing a contract with a major music industry label.
In fact my music has been ranked on the itunes UK top 100 blues music charts several times and I have been ranked in other countries also.
I spent several years building a huge fan base, by doing concerts and selling my music on the internet, but I must also state that my music has been aired on radio off and on over the years since before the internet was around.

My music first appeared on radio station when I was 25 years old in 1982.
Now at age 54, many people know me as one of the best rock, blues guitar players anywhere.
Yet internet sales are different than real life radio play, which results retail store selling your music back in the day, yet today most sales are the result of internet music downloads.

So what’s the truth how do you get your music to the Top 100 UK Music Charts In Europe?

1.) Copyright your music with International Copyrights

2.) Perform in Concerts - Most of the money you make will come from doing concerts, and concerts help build your popularity and fan base.

3.) Write a few press releases about your music - find friends to write a few press releases

4.) Learn how to get your press-releases ranked on google - Here’s a secret, having hundreds of press -releases online covers more ground….and is a better way to advertise your music under many different online browser headings on google than having just a website.

5.) Once your music appears on Itunes and Amazon, write maybe a 100 short press releases over the next year and be sure to link each press-release you’re your itunes sales page.

Heck I treat my itunes, and amazon sales pages as if they are my own website, by promoting them with back-links from other websites, articles, press-releases and ect.
I try and build 1000’s of back-links to the sales pages on those music distributor sites ..and guess what folks it works

6.) Learn to write great press-releases….and soon you’ll find other website owners and online magazines reprinting your articles on their sites also….this is a great way to promote your music virally online and make you famous…that is if your good at it…. If your not then practice and learn or find someone to write for you…..you need advertising…and it’s FREE !!

I started with only 25 press-releases several years ago, and today there’s so many millions of articles about my music floating online that I have lost count….last time I look at least 20 Million where out there…..this helps build a huge fan base….so what it takes several years…DO YOU WANT TO MAKE IT TO THE BIG TIME ?

I have never spent any money advertising my music….It all started with ranking press-releases on google.

7.) Learn how keywords rank press-releases, and learn all the music industry most popular keywords and keyword phrases.
Develop your online skills using online SEO tactics ..also called - Search Engine Optimization tactics.
Then once a few of your articles get ranked, your sales will start to climb.

8.) One point I forgot to mention that is very important - you must be very good as an artist.

If your selling an album you need at least 2 or 3 songs out of say 10 songs, that are super strong…songs great enough that they could become hit songs.
Example: As a songwriter and artist-recording musician, I have written thousands of songs over the years, but truly great songs which can capture the attention of the music industry are rare…no matter what you think.
Just because you wrote a great song doesn’t mean other people will love it.

I wrote a song called - “ Electric Rock Guitarist “….and everyone loved the song, it made the charts, and I knew the songs was great before I sold it….yet another song I wrote as a Filler Song only called - Acoustic Guitar Blues, became famous and I had no idea it would be so big.
I also wrote another song that is new , maybe you heard of my new song release 2011-2012 by myself GW Williams, called - California Rock N Blues - It should become huge and it’s popularity is growing.
Yet out of thousands of songs I’ve written, maybe 8 to 10 songs are good enough to make the charts.
This is why you need to not give up and keep writing music.
