How to improve vertical jump
How would you like to increase your vertical leap, grab rebounds whenever you want, dunk over anybody you want or jump over the block when taking your jump shot? I know you don't want to hear any hype (If you are like me, you have heard it all before and are sick and tired of it) so let me just tell you what worked for me and how you can benefit from this simple exercise too!
The key to improving your vertical jump is to strengthen your muscle fibers and your legs. Check out these cool tips and start your way to higher vertical jumps.
- Start your workout everyday by muscle warm-ups and leg stretches.
- Your target is to build your muscle fibers so you should do explosive stretching and jumping.
- If you want to achieve cardiovascular conditioning, do jump ropes. And remember if you want to get results fast don't forget to do this.
- Building your muscle can improve your ability to jump and another way is to sprint. Run up a flight of stairs using your toes, and then walk your way down. You can repeat this as many times as you can.
Another exercise I've seen people use to increase leaping ability is by doing lunges. I'm a big sports fan, and there's been numerous times where I've seen NFL receivers say that they did lunges to increase their vertical jump. If it works for professional athletes, it can work for you to. You just have to stick to it because you're not going to increase your vertical by 10 inches in a couple days. Just stick to it and you will see results, guaranteed.
It is amazing as to how much our bodies can achieve when we work hard and train our bodies into doing something. The only way to achieve that double vertical leaps is work hard for it with added persistence.
Set your mind, tell yourself that you can do this and that you will achieve and increase that leap. Once you do that, your body will follow.
