I’d heard there were people earning a healthy living online although I really had no clue as to how they were doing it. Initially, I truly wondered if earning online was a little ‘shady’… after all, isn’t the internet for providing info only?

Fast forward almost three years… and oh the places I’ve been.

While it’s true there is definitely a good share of scams on the internet and it’s advisable to use common sense, the truth is, the possibilities of earning a terrific living is available to anybody who sincerely would like to learn the ropes and genuinely wishes to succeed.

There are many income earning solutions to choose from in all shapes and sizes and price ranges. There’s the option of choosing to market an online business opportunity, direct sales, MLM, affiliate marketing, the option of marketing information products, selling on eBay…just for starters and the list goes on.

The bottom line is, almost everything is marketed similarly. It basically boils down to driving traffic to your product or service, by capturing attention and helping your potential partner/customer to solve a problem, answer a question or find a solution. The premise really is that basic.

The actual process is really not all that convoluted either, but if you’ve had no experience, you obviously don’t have a clue how to get set up, nor are you aware of the many effective marketing methods. Its this ‘lack of knowledge’ that stumps you and when you get right down to it, it’s usually the fear of the unknown that is holding you back.

There are definitely a few things to learn and there is work involved. It is going to take dedication and the right mindset to get through, but I can guarantee you have done harder tasks in your life.

Additionally, the efforts of learning to earn online are skills that could take you away from working a stressful job and on to lead a more abundant life if you just decide to stick with it.

If you over think it, or kick tires for ever, you’ll never know – and what’s worse is there’s a huge probability you’ll never create the changes you want.

I started by promoting a business opportunity in the personal development industry knowing absolutely NOTHING about online marketing.

It was a bit of a leap, but I chose this route because it was readily available since I didn’t have my own product or any other ideas; also because it is of value, beneficial to not only myself but everyone else. It is legitimate, safe, solid, offered support and aligned with my passions and needs. Not to ignore the fact that it is risk free!

I knew I could either ‘think’ about it, or realize that if I didn’t try, I’d never know. I’ve also learned that life is much too short to not do the things you want – and so long as you’re not hurting anyone or making silly decisions, there is absolutely no reason not to.

Finding something you enjoy that is solid, safe and legitimate is an excellent place to start. Once you have something to market, you then have to develop and polish the skills to get YOU and your product/service in front of those who want what you have.

By joining a community of helpful people, either those who are involved in your industry, or something similar is also an excellent way to learn and eventually exchange ideas.

In my humble opinion, it you really want to make some positive changes and you’ve decided to explore the internet as a vehicle to improve your situation, there nothing holding your back from grasping how to learn and earn online.

Don’t let the analysis paralysis and the fear of the unknown hold you back from the possibilities that could lie a head.

Ask yourself this: “Can I learn a few things?”

I would be willing to bet the answer is ‘yes’. After all, everyday is a learning experience in one way or another. You’ve likely learned other skills in the past and managed quite well.

There are no secrets to this industry. It’s just being willing to learn and work towards your goal.

Besides, nobody is ‘born’ into this industry with pre-existing experience. We’ve all had to buckle down and figure out how to learn and earn online.
