Some banks have overdraft protection that will save you from bounced checks. Overdraft protection, however, is very expensive. Here are some suggestions on how to avoid overdrawing your checking account.

Wire transfers. If you have to pay large sums of money, make sure that the use of wire transfers as much as possible. Many retailers allow you to make wire transfers as payment. One of the best things about electronic transfers is that they are much safer and much faster. In the past, a check means that the person receiving the check should expect a certain number of days before the check can be cashed. With electronic transfers, however, there is no waiting time, which means that the money is transferred immediately.

Auto-deductions. Then make sure you take into account the automatic deductions. There are many people who pay their bills and their utilities and other services through your checking account. Most service providers offer automatic checking account deductions for ever coming utility bills. That are automatically deducted from your account. Sometimes people forget this and continue using your checking account without knowing that a majority of their funding from current account has already been used by auto deductions. Make sure you know exactly how much the deductions are costing car, so you will be able to manage their money better.

Register. When using a checking account, always make sure to record all transactions made. When you use your card to make purchases and pay for things not usually have a clear idea of ??how much money remains in your account. Try to take a notebook with you so that you can list all the items you use your account. You can then easily calculate how much money you have left. At least make sure you check your balance at the ATM regularly.

Budget. Then make sure you budget your money. If you just spend a lot of money relative to what you earn, then, obviously, will have discovered all the time, especially during the end of the month when it has insufficient funds. Be sure to reflect on their spending, and limit yourself to only expenses you really need.

Use cash. Finally, try to go back to basics and use of cash. Cash is still a great way to pay for things, and with the money they no longer have to worry about writing, because what you have in your pocket is literally all you can use. Leave your credit or debit card at home and just take the money you need.

With these steps in mind, you should be able to easily avoid that overdraw your checking account.
